Annual Well Woman Exams
It’s a good idea to have your first well-woman visit around age 16. You may just talk with your provider and undergo a regular physical exam. As we get older, and our health changes, well-woman visits will include other tests and referrals for more detailed exams such as mammograms and bone density tests.
Abnormal Pap Results
A Pap Smear detects changes in the cervix that may indicate elevated risk for cancer. In women who have regular Pap tests, abnormal changes are almost always caught early. In addition to regular Pap tests, you should schedule a visit us if you are experiencing symptoms, or suspect that you may have a woman’s health issue that needs treatment.
Painful/Irregular Period

- LILETTA - this device is placed in the uterus and provides up to 8 years of pregnancy protection.
- Birth Control Pills - for those of us wanting a more hands on approach to our pregnancy prevention routine, this birth control is taken daily.
- NEXPLANON - this device is inserted into the inner arm and provides pregnancy protection for up to 3 years.
- Bilateral salpingectomy - this is an outpatient surgical procedure for permanent sterilization and reduces the risk of future ovarian cancer.
